Oh, my goodness it’s so wonderful to be back in Durango. To be with the Arrows MC, and meet all these people again. Now it’s Honon who finds his responsibility, but for him it’s no big deal. But it’s a great thing for Emme. She’s been on the Edge of trust her whole lifetime being. She never got any trust from her parents, and so she ended up alone, always on her own, never trusting,never getting in anyone’s guilt.
So it is a great fight for Honon to get Emme believe , he’s trustworthy.
But with bullets flying, Emme notices the stability Honon offers, and she steps from the Edge of trust to love.
Include two adorable kids, and you have a heart melting story that is everything but most of it, this story is authentic. You can love all characters right away, and I loved the progress Emme could make. To learn to trust, to learn to love and most of all: to be worth all the love and become self-confident.
I can’t say that this is my favorite book of Freya Barker… because they all are. Every. Damn. Book. I love her style of writing and the way she describes her characters so staying on the rug that you can imagine on every page to be par of this great freaking, loving and caring family.
I loved this book most (like every other book from this author.)
Oh, meine Güte, es ist so wunderbar, wieder in Durango zu sein. Beim Arrows MC zu sein und all diese Leute wieder zu treffen. Jetzt ist es Honon, der seine Verantwortung findet, aber für ihn ist es keine große Sache. Aber für Emme ist es eine große Sache. Sie hat ihr ganzes Leben lang auf der Kippe gestanden, wenn es um Vertrauen ging. Sie hat nie Vertrauen von ihren Eltern bekommen, und so war sie am Ende allein, immer auf sich allein gestellt, nie vertrauensvoll, nie in der Schuld von jemandem.
So ist es ein großer Kampf für Honon, Emme zu überzeugen, dass er vertrauenswürdig ist.
Aber während die Kugeln fliegen, bemerkt Emme die Stabilität, die Honon ihr bietet, und sie geht vom Rand des Vertrauens zur Liebe über.
Wenn man dann noch zwei liebenswerte Kinder dazu nimmt, hat man eine herzerwärmende Geschichte, die alles ist, aber vor allem ist sie authentisch. Man kann alle Charaktere sofort ins Herz schließen und ich fand es toll, wie Emme sich weiterentwickelt hat. Zu lernen zu vertrauen, zu lernen zu lieben und vor allem: all die Liebe wert zu sein und selbstbewusst zu werden.
Ich kann nicht sagen, dass dies mein Lieblingsbuch von Freya Barker ist… denn das sind sie alle. Jedes. Verdammtes. Buch. Ich liebe ihren Schreibstil und die Art und Weise, wie sie ihre Charaktere so treffend beschreibt, dass man sich auf jeder Seite vorstellen kann, Teil dieser großartigen, aufbrausenden, liebevollen und fürsorglichen Familie zu sein.
Ich habe dieses Buch am meisten geliebt (wie jedes andere Buch von dieser Autorin).
